Slightly Mad Studios announced that the brand new 2015 Ford Mustang GT will be featured in Project CARS. This will be the 12th Ford vehicle to become part of the WMD project.

The 2015 Ford Mustang marks the model’s 50th anniversary.  This new pony is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 with upgraded valvetrain and cylinder heads putting out more than 420 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. By the time the car is on sale, customers will also be able to choose a 3.7-liter V6 or a new 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. The Mustang will be fitted with a manual gearbox or a revised automatic transmission. Steering wheel-mounted shift paddles will be optional. The 2015 Stang will also feature a new advanced stability control system and standard launch control.

Visually the Mustang is smaller and lighter than its predecessor. As far as looks go, this might just be the best looking Mustang yet. We are sure the Project CARS model will do the real car justice. WMD members will be able to test the WIP version of the car and follow its progress from birth to release version.
