After GTR2, Simbin sims/Games have never been up to standard. The soul that has been put in GTR2 has never returned in the later developments. That is a statement you read and hear about to often. Now Simbin just anounced they are going to publish a strategy game. Is this the end of the Simbin we all got to know as a serious Race Game/ Sim developer.? Lets hope not.

SimBin Studios announces that they will publish the PC game STORM – Frontline Nation,
a turned based strategy game developed by Colossai Studios, a young Swedish development house l ocated in Skövde, some 60 km from SimBin headquarters in Vara. “This is a result from a close cooperation between our companies where the Colossai team has been working on some of our latest
PC titles as consultants. Since we are publishing our PC titles and has the right connections we decided to help out with the delivery of their baby, STORM – Frontline Nation”, says Henrik Roos, SimBin Studios CEO. The contact between the companies was initiated by Gothia Science Park (GSP), the game incubator located in Skövde that currently includes eight studios and projects covering everything from children’s games to games centered on training. “SimBin is by far the best established game developer in the neighborhood and we have been in contact in several areas over the years and
I’m very happy to see that this has led up to this cooperation”, says Per-Arne Lundberg, Business coach, Gothia Science Park. “Colossai and SimBin have for the last year and a half worked together on several projects.

this is completely wrong theory if you have a writer which writes horror books is that mean he cant publish a romance ? i dont think so Simbin has become powerfull company which needs to earn money i say more , the simbin titles didnt become “arcadish” just try to drive Green Hell with any car with wet conditions – if you say that its arcade i will say its not true

But i also agree that GTR2 is superior in comparison to the later developments.
this isnt the first game thats non sim racing that Simbin have published, they also published a game called “Attack on Pearl Harbour”
The Simbin a sim-creator is going down. They just producing new mod-like games on old game engine with some enchansments. This is not we are truly want from them. GTR 1,2 series was great and they looks great today, but now is time for new generation sims. And we have one) But not fom Simbin.
