Assetto Corsa Car modding tutorial #1

Together with the Assetto Corsa Update 0.20, Kunos Simulazioni released the highly anticipated Assetto Corsa car editor. This editor will enable modders to start working on the game part of their custom build cars.  The AC editor features the car exporter, including the 3D pipeline documentation, a 3D driver template and a 3D geometry with hierarchies.

The Kunos Development team also added the Formula K car with open physics as a template car. This way modders will have a starting point to begin editing in their own car modding projects. The template car can be found in the sdk/dev folder. As we have seen with the track editor, Kunos Simulazioni also supplied a tutorial video to make it a little easier to start your own project.

In this video your friendly physics Guru Aristotelis Vasilakos, introduces you to the file structure and needed steps to get you started editing the template car.  This is the first video posted, but Aristotelis informs the community that more tutorial videos will be produced in the future. The next video will most probably show you some of the basic functions regarding editing the physics files. Aside from this Assetto Corsa Car modding tutorial video, more info about modding can be found at the dedicated modding support thread at the Assetto Corsa official support forum.
