Assetto Corsa – New DRM Revival Mod Previews

DRM Modding Team member Sovers has posted a brand new batch of preview screenshots of the highly anticipated DRM Revival Mod for Assetto Corsa.

I am sure that Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft fans will instantly recognize these iconic group 5 monsters from the 70s and 80s,

  • The flame spitting 1977/1978 BMW 2002 Turbo Gr.5 dressed in two of its recognizable Schnitzer Rodenstock liveries.
  • The 1979 Zakspeed Ford Escort Gr.5 in its famous black and blue D&W colors
  • The 1980/1981 Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo Gr. 5 sponsored by Fruit of the Loom, and the Beta Montecarlo in its iconic Martini Racing livery.
  • The mighty 1981 Zakspeed Ford Capri Turbo dressed in the Wurth and Jagermeister colors.

Those with an eye for detail might also have noticed that the DRM Modding Team gave us a glimpse of the 1981 Kenwood BMW M1 Turbo.

The DRM Modding Team has not yet hinted a release date, but we are more than sure it will be worth the wait.

The DRM Revival Mod will recreate the fast and spectacular DRM Cars that were raced from 1972 to 1985. The DRM Group 5 series was divided into 2 groups. Division 1 was made up by iconic cars as the Porsche 935 Turbo, Lancia Beta Monte Carlo Turbo and the Zakspeed Turbo Ford Capri’s with engines ranging from 2000 cm ³ up to 4000 cm ³ and Division 2 cars with less than 2000 cm ³ like the Zakspeed Ford Escort, BMW 320i.

Many of the drivers have become household names in the international racing scene. Hans Heyer, Rolf Stommelen, Klaus Ludwig, Manfred Winkelhock, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Harald Ertl and Toine Hezemans, to name a few.
