Assetto Corsa Update V1.3 and Dream Pack 2 available

Kunos Simulazioni has released Assetto Corsa V 1.3 and long awaited Dream Pack 2 DLC including a new track and nine new cars.

The Assetto Corsa Dream Pack 2 includes a first ever laser scanned version of the Spanish Circuit of Catalunya and nine new cars. Actually, Kunos Simulazioni refers to them as eight cars in ten different versions because the BMW M4 Coupé and the RUF RT 12 R are included in two flavors. All the cars in the new Dream Pack were selected through polls, resulting in this awesome “most wanted” list.

The Assetto Corsa Dream Pack 2 is on sale at the Steam platform for €7.99.

Besides the Dream Pack #2, Kunos Simulazioni also released the Assetto Corsa V1.3 update, introducing a number of game engine improvements and a selection of new features.

The core game now supports native 64-bit code, and features a reworked multithreaded physics set resulting in a better and more precise driving behaviour. This should also result in a better force feedback implementation, eliminating signal noise and random vibrations.

Assetto Corsa’s top-class physics engine has been constantly evolving and improving. The AC physics code already includes various industry-first features, such as advanced active aerodynamics, four-wheel drive simulation with active differentials, realistic driving assists systems, unique hybrid engines simulation and advanced tyre-wear features, such as blistering, graining and flat spots.

Assetto Corsa Version 1.3 also features a completely reworked tire model that includes new parameters such as tyre-speed sensitivity, combined grip, slip angles and ratios, load sensitivity, rolling resistance and most importantly, separated heating for surface and core temperatures. For the full list of fixes, features and improvement, check out the Changelog.
