Alastair McLeod of Classic Race Simulators is known for his hand built Lotus 49, The Gold Leaf Lotus, The Honda RA300, The Ferrari312 , The Eagle MK1 replica Sim Racing cockpits. Now CRS is working on a new project bringing a classic sports prototype racing car to its simulator park. Alastair has picked up a genuine Chevron B31 body kit and has started transforming it into a fully functional Simulator cockpit.

The car body received a few layers of paint, and now wears the classic blue/orange “Gulf” livery. As with the previous cockpits build by Classic Race Simulators, we are sure that classic racing fans will love this piece of automotive art.

The Chevron B31 was an evolution of the B26 sports prototype racing car built by Chevron Cars Ltd. The Chevron B31 was ready in 1975, and initially used in the European 2-Litre Championship. The prototype was initially fitted with a 2-litre Hart 420R straight-four engine producing 290 hp.
