Fanatec SLI-F1 Wheel Mod (DigiProst)

Community member DigiProst modified his Fanatec ClubSport steering wheel, using an SLI-F1 display unit by Leo Bodnar. While watching the video, you will get a rough idea of the work needed to modify the original Fanatec Formula rim. When all hard work is done, it is time for a test run. DigiProst fires up iRacing and takes the Williams-Toyota FW31 around Monza.

The Leo Bodnar SLI-F1 Display is a USB shift light indicator combined with joystick interface board for simulator use. It features a horizontal bar of 15 high-intensity rev indicator LED’s in blocks of five from left to right [Green – Red – Blue]. Furthermore, the SLI-F1 unit also carries two clusters of three LED’s on the sides featuring red, yellow, and blue LED’s commonly used as warning indicators.

Central Numeric Display area
A single digit, seven segment red display in the centre indicating the gear number.
Size: H 14.22mm x W 8mm

Left and Right Alphanumeric Display areas
14 Segment alphanumeric ‘starburst’ red LED displays
Size: H10.16mm x W 6mm

Warning/Marshalling LEDs
LED clusters at each side featuring red, yellow, blue LED indicators. 5 additional warning LEDS of your choice can also be connected.

Shift LEDs
A horizontal bar of 15 high-intensity LEDs at the top – In blocks of five from left to right – Green – Red – Blue

Adjustable Brightness
Brightness can be adjusted in control software by our SLI rotary switches or potentiometers

Aluminium Case
High-quality aluminium case with masked clear acrylic filters over the shift and warning LEDs. Red acrylic lens over the central displays.
