First PlayStation 4 Project CARS previews

Today on the PlayStation blog, Slightly Mad Studios Creative Director, Andy Tudor posted a selection of in-game previews showing us the PlayStation 4 Project CARS version. As usual, the previews are all unedited game-play screens. Judging by the look of the screens there should be little or no difference between the PS4 and high-end PC version as far as graphics are concerned.

As with allot of multiplatform titles the development screenshots of Project Cars where generated on a PC system. When the development started back in October 2011, it became instantly apparent that the graphics level of the title was also very suitable for the next-gen console market. Aside from the PC, Project CARS will also be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, bringing a somewhat more simulation based racer to the consoles.

Next to the high level of graphical quality,Project CARS is also packed with an impressive set of features such as dynamic time of day and variable weather, time trials, events, competitive multiplayer, content sharing, stat comparisons, social and community features, and more.

When Andy states ” Others may say similar, but they don’t come close to the attention to detail we put in.” it becomes clear that in the console market, Project CARS will go head to head with Forza Motorsport On Xbox One and the mighty Gran Turismo on the PlayStation 4. Andy also reported that Project CARS will likely support “Project Morpheus” headset. ( SCE’s prototype virtual reality (VR) system that works with PS4.)

From now on Slightly Mad Studios will publish more Project CARS PS4 details, screenshots and videos on the PlayStation Blog. Should you miss it, we will surely keep you posted.
