The biggest racing game attraction on the 2015 GamesCom Expo in Cologne, Germany is without a doubt the sixth installment in the Forza Motorsport series by Turn10 that will be published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One. The game’s release later this year comes in time for the tenth anniversary of the Forza series.

While we were already used to the high-quality visuals of the Forza Motorsport series, Turn10 have innovated the new Forza game once more with a list of new features. The most noticeable being the wet weather and night racing feature. Turn 10 Studios has gone to great lengths to ensure that wet-weather racing looks and feels like the real thing, from tires that hydroplane across physically based 3D puddles to the placement of puddles based on where they form in the real-world.

The game also contains a new “Stories of Motorsport” career mode that will take most gamers around 70 hours to complete. The career mode will include commentary from automotive and racing personalities to get you in that racing mood.

Furthermore, the new version is packed with less noticeable new details and features such as the brand new Online Leagues feature. This feature lets players compete in multiplayer races that are scheduled and based around each player’s skill level and temperament. The League lobbies run on a schedule and will be open in the game during specific times each day. Turn10 is keeping the timeframe in mind, to facilitate as many players as possible within different time zones.

Another feature that will interest League race organizers is the new Spectate mode for the Forza Motorsport 6 multiplayer mode. Players will be able to spectate any of the multiplayer race, including League lobbies and traditional multiplayer races. When spectating, players will be will be able to switch in real-time between any of the cars in the race, by means of a selection of cameras. Besides the cameras, Spectators will also have access to the telemetry data of each car in the race and can chat with the other spectators or players in the multiplayer lobby.

League lobbies will be giving access to select broadcasters so that they can broadcast the multiplayer race via Twitch on their own channels.

Forza Motorsport 6 is the most beautiful, technically advanced, and comprehensive Forza game yet. Exclusively developed for the XboxOne Forza 6 features more than 450 ForzaVista cars, 26 world-famous environments, as well as night and rain racing in 1080p/60fps.

The game is scheduled for release in North America on September 15, 2015, followed by Japan on September 17 and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa on September 18.
