Notice how little forcefeedback his hands were recieving… Sorry that’s why in a real race car and he has seen a real race car in the Star Mazda, he ended up being WAY behind in his virtual laptimes and ended up puking on himself.

In the end, I see not a sim racer with realism in mind. Just the fastest alien times. What he needs is a kick ass motion simulator to slam his body around in like the real thing. Then I guarantee you, he won’t be the Gregger Huttu who everyone moans over..

Yes he is fast. But with little to know FFB torque sitting motionless in his seat, he has an advantage. I just cannot push myself to drive that way. Simulation is trying to create the real atmosphere of the forces the car and wheel would put on you…

That’s why without a full motion cockpit and a wheel setup to make you work it like it needs to be muscled in some of the cars, Gregger Huttu looks like the comfort type of driver. Not my style. Take the champ money and run with it. Put him next to me in a full motion cockpit and i’ll paint him a different picture and show him what a true sim driver should look like…

Really 5 seconds behind his real virtual times in a star mazda is SLOW.. We know between 20 real qualifying lap times in the real between 1 to 20th in real life, the gap between 1 and 20th maybe no more then a second + or – when it comes to many of the real series racing out there..

Sounds to me like he’s beaten you – he was 3 seconds off the pace that day, that is compared to the best time there that day from actual drivers in that series…he was also struggling with the hot weather…and his fitness level wasn’t what it should be…you sound ridiculous to be honest…it’s clear that he would be up to pace in probably two weeks of testing…

You try living in the arctic your whole life, then moving to Atlanta, Georgia, where it’s blistering hot and uncomfortably humid to the people who live there, and being put in the cockpit of a race car, which is even hotter. I mean, yeah, he’s not in shape, but holy shit, give him a break. Everyone who saw him there who knows what they’re talking about was more than impressed by him.
