iRacing – Scanning Rockingham Motor Speedway 

Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Donington park, and Oulton Park are already part of the iRacing Online Racing platform. Yesterday, iRacing announced that they now have secured a new Brittish licensing agreement that will add the Rockingham Motor Speedway to the iRacing track list.

A week ago the iRacing Laser scan technicians and photographers visited the track and started work already. Once scanned, the iRacing’s artists will use the thousands of photographic images to faithfully reproduce the buildings, trees and sight lines at the Northamptonshire facility. At this time, it is not clear when the track will be ready for release.

Rockingham Motor Speedway is a racing circuit situated in East Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.  It is the only intermediate oval in the UK and features a unique quadrilateral shape.

The track features 6 layouts that are used for various purposes such as meetings, track days, conferences, exhibitions, media events, and research and development.
