Pablo López – Chasing The Dream

Pablo López – Chasing The Dream

If you are into sim racing, chances are you know or have heard of Pablo López. The ever cheerful Spanish sim racer from Santiago de Compostella has made somewhat of a name for himself in the sim racing community. Ever since he was a young boy, Pablo has been a huge fan of motorsports and set out to pursue his dream of becoming a real racing driver.

As we all know, becoming a racing driver is pretty much a matter of finances and therefore out of reach for many of us. This is where sim racing comes in. These days, competitive sim racing gives us all the chance to compete in the virtual version of the sport we love. And who knows… If all goes to plan, one day you might find yourselves behind the wheel of a real racing car.

Pablo “GoPro” López who is now part of the Iberica Racing Team and a former member of the Radicals Online Team made it to the iRacing F1 Pro Series. From there on things only got better. So good in fact, that his sim racing career took him all the way to the Mazda Road to 24 Shootout at the NOLA Motorsports Park, USA. The Mazda Road to 24 program offers a number of scholarships to advance drivers up the sports car racing ladder, beginning with the Global MX-5 Cup series and culminating with the Mazda Prototype team.

Unfortunately, Pablo did not make it to the top step of the Mazda podium but nevertheless had the time of his life. One thing is sure. Pablo Lópe will #NeverGiveUp. In his latest video, Pablo tries to encourage fellow sim-racers who share his dream, to try and keep on climbing the ladder from virtual to real. Nothing is impossible.
