Slightly Mad Studios today announced that its innovative crowd funded development platform “World Of Mass Development” is running successfully. The first title, with a working title of Project C.A.R.S., has raised already more than half a million Euros since launch in October 2011.
The WMD platform, hosted at www.wmdportal.com, enables gamers to contribute directly to the development of upcoming titles, as well as giving them an in depth appreciation of the game creation process. As well as enjoying the game as it is being built, they are also rewarded for their contribution by earning a share of any profit each game makes.

The Online Series is a genuine race series where drivers compete against other drivers in practice, qualifying and races just like any other series but instead utilising the iRacing.com motorsport simulator with the events existing online.
Running weekly, the series races each week for 12 weeks, 4 seasons in a year and races run anywhere from 38 laps of Okayama to the 19 lap night race at Sebring International.

The SLI and Triple-SLI benchmarks were run on our standard testing rig.
It consists of an Intel Core i7 3960X (Sandy Bridge-E) processor, an ASUS P7X79 Pro motherboard, 16 GB Corsair DDR3-1600 RAM, a Samsung Spinpoint F1 hard drive and a Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1200 watt power supply. For Quad-SLI we switched to an ASUS Rampage IV Formula motherboard and an Enermax Platimax 1500W PSU. All benchmarks were done in Windows 7 x64.

Caffeinesixx took part in the 2012 iRacing world tour 120 minutes of Sebring with the LMP2.
He uses a tripple screen custom Race Rig and to let us all have a look he created a rather intersting Video.

Three cars are included. Jaguar D-Type from 1955 and 1957, Aston Martin DBR1 from 1957 to 1959 and Ferrari 250 Testarossa model 1958.
First coming out of the D-Types was 1954, one car reached second place in Le Mans. After that, D-Types where successful there in 1955, 1956 and 1957. Then, with new rules that limts the engines to 3 litres, success was over and the Ferrari tooks the place in first row, followed by the Aston Martin as a serious competitor.

After winning the Sebring 12hrs, Audi stayed over to conduct tests of their new 2012 R18 e-tron quattro and ultra Le Mans racecars.
Leo Parente and /DRIVE were invited to observe and talk with the team.
