Porsche is coming to RaceRoom

When yesterday, RaceRoom staff members started to get excited and used the hashtag #WelcomeHome, we already kinda guessed what was going to happen.

It was a long time coming, but today, Sector3 Studios proudly and officially announced that they have reached a long-term agreement with the famous German Porsche brand to bring some of its awesome sportscars to the RaceRoom Racing Experience title.

In line with the announcement, Sector 3 Studios published an exciting promo trailer showing us the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (991 II) in-game lapping the Nürburgring GP track. The graphics look gorgeous, but we were especially curious to hear the in-game sound of the 911 GT3 Cup. As expected, Sector3 Studios did not disappoint. In our humble opinion, the RaceRoom sound engineer is still a few steps ahead of the competition. The Porsche flat-six sounds are awesome.

And there is more. Besides the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Sector3 Studios confirmed that 8 more Porsche racing cars will be making their debut in the RaceRoom racing simulator, with the first three set to become available in 2017. We will keep you posted when more details are revealed.
