Project CARS – 2010 Maserati MC12 GT1 Released

The Machine Dojo Modding team has released the 2010 Maserati MC12 GT1 mod for Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios.

The Maserati MC12 GT1 is the third car model for the MDM 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship mod. To complete the package, the Machine Dojo Modding team will release 3 more car models as listed below. The team announced that they have also updated the physics and graphics of the previously released Lamborghini Murcielago and Nissan GT-R models.

Just as the recently released Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 R-SV GT1, and Nissan GT-R Nismo GT1, the 2010 Maserati MC12 GT1 is a conversion of the Slightly Mad Studios Shift 2 Unleashed 3D model. The Maserati is converted by Didouc aka ThunderFlash for MACHINE Dojo Modding Team. The original Shift 2 car models received new textures and feature some 3D edits to bring them up to the required standards. As far as we know, the conversions were authorized.

Maserati MC12 GT1

In 2004 Maserati developed three MC12 GT1 race cars to compete in the FIA-GT GT1 Championship, but the FIA did not allow the MC12 to score points due to its debated homologation. In 2005 Maserati officially won the FIA GT Manufacturers title. In 2008, the famous Vitaphone Racing team managed to dominate and win the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship with Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini behind the wheel.
