As we discussed before, the graphics in most modern simulators and racing games have reached a very high level of quality and realism over the past few years. However, most titles lacked the same attention to detail where sounds were concerned.

The ever popular Gran Turismo 6 is a good example of a title that lacks appropriate sounds and could surely use a full audio overhaul.  Luckily, companies such as Sector3, iRacing, and Slightly Mad Studios  have embraced the importance of sounds in a racing simulation and came up with some very impressive game audio.

DigiProst released a new video showing us a selection of cars representing his five favorite car sounds in the current early access version of Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios. In this video, we can sample the in-game sounds in both external and cockpit view.

Project CARS will is supposed to become available somewhere in May of this year for the PC, Sony PlayStation 4, WiiU and Microsoft Xbox One. For the PC, Project CARS will be released as a boxed retail version and as a digital download on the Steam platform.
