SHH – 3D printer made Shifter Review by GamerMuscle

GamerMuscle reviews the SHH 3D printed H-pattern and sequential mode shifter. After a month of testing the SHH shifter using a selection of racing simulators, GamerMuscle shares his personal opinion regarding the low-cost device.

Aritz Aramburu (SHH) started building his own shifter for use in PC Racing simulation titles. He decided to develop a shifter that was simple, yet robust and most of all cost effective. Furthermore, the shifter should be easily convertible from H-Pattern to sequential mode. The interesting thing is that in order to make it easy to duplicate the original shifter design, Aritz  decided to produce a selection of parts and the housing using a 3D Printer. He printed the needed parts in a very strong material called “Smart ABS”

The Shifter works completely independent of any steering wheel unit and there is no need to install system drivers. When plugged in a USB port, Windows will detect the SHH Shifter as a 10 button joystick. 9 of the button functions are used to drive the shifter. The 6-speed shift locations, reverse and up and down sequential mode.
