Thrustmaster T300RS First Look by Inside Sim Racing

Darin Gangi of Inside Sim Racing takes a first look at the Thrustmaster T300RS Force Feedback wheel and pedal set for the PS3, PS4 and PC. In this first look, Darin unboxes the wheel and talks about the packaging, technical features and more. Darin promises a future in depth review while using the wheel on Gran Turismo 6, iRacing and Assetto Corsa.

The 1.2 Kg weighing T300 RS has a removable 11 ” wheel rim which uses the Thrustmaster Quick Release System. The steering wheel has an adjustable rotation ranging from 270 to 1080 degrees. The standard PS4 buttons ( PS, Share and Options ) are mounted in the center of the wheel rim. Furthermore, the unit is fitted with two metal shifter paddles.

Thrustmaster claims that the T300 RS wheel will generate an improved feedback feel thanks to the use of a new brushless motor. The T300RS uses the patented Thrustmaster Heart Hall Effect Accurate Technology. The 16 bit contactless magnetic sensor provides a 65,536 resolution. With the wheel comes with a throttle and brake pedal set. The pedals are made of metal. The pedals height and spacing are adjustable with a total of six different positions per pedal.

The T300 RS also features an internal memory, upgradable firmware so that users will always have access to the latest improvements via the wheel’s PC compatibility, and a PS4/PS3 sliding switch on its base for optimal compatibility with both systems.

The Thrustmaster T300 RS will be on sale by August 15. The European retail price will be 369.99 euros.
