WRC 5 – First gameplay video – Portugal

Big Ben Interactive and Kylotonn Games published the first official gameplay video of their upcoming WRC 5 rally title.

The video shows us footage of the current Beta version of the game. You can watch the Volkswagen Polo R WRC driven by Sébastien Ogieron in action at the Vodafone Rally de Portugal.  This Portugal stage consists out of 90% gravel and 10% asphalt.

The developer points out that this is not yet the final version and various elements of the game are still missing. At this time, the beta does not yet contain a Heads Up display (HUD) and the audio or visuals of the Pacenotes feature.

After four WRC games that were developed by the Italian Milestone Studio and published by Black Bean, this new version of the official FIA World Rally Championship game is under development by the French Kylotonn Games studio. This developer switch might just be what the doctor ordered, and could pump some life into the genre.

WRC 5 will be released in the autumn of 2015 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita.

2015 will be a good year for rally game fans. With Rally titles such as Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo, DIRT 4 and gRally in the making, Kylotonn’s WRC 5 will have some competition trying to win the likes of the Rally Game community.
