Codemasters and EA Sports announced that in the upcoming F1 25, the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, you will be able to get behind the wheel of the APXGP F1 Movie car.
The Fictional APXGP Formula 1 Car is the star of the “F1” Movie by Brad Pitt.
Designed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG, the actual movie car is built on a Dallara-built F2 chassis, which was then overlaid with custom Mercedes-made F1 bodywork. The car is powered by a 3.4-liter V6 Mecachrome F2 engine delivering around 620 bhp.
It has become a visually impressive car featuring a matte black paint scheme with striking “Race Gold” accents on elements like the grille, front wings with a checkered flag motif, side skirts, rear apron, and diffuser. The 21-inch forged wheels are also in matte Race Gold.
F1 25 is scheduled for release on May 30, 2025. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Notably, it will not support older, eighth-generation consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The game will be available as a Standard Edition or an Iconic Edition.
The base version includes core game features and some bonus content. It features Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz, and Oliver Bearman on its cover.
The Premium Iconic Edition offers additional content and perks, including things like early access to the game, exclusive in-game items, and content related to the upcoming F1 movie. It features Lewis Hamilton on its cover.
