Lots Of New Content Coming To iRacing On March 6

On March 6, iRacing will deploy a new build of their online racing service. Besides the usual extensive list of fixes and improvements, the March update will also feature an impressive new content list.

The new iRacing build will introduce two new LMP1 cars. The Porshe 919 Hybrid and the Audi R18 etron Quatrro. Both cars will be deployed in an iRacing LeMans Series, which will run 60-90 minute races every two hours with a 12-week schedule. Then there is also the new team-based iRacing Lemans Endurance Series which features an LMP2 and GTE Class. This series will run 6-hour endurance sessions every other week with 2-time slots. Saturday at 7:00GMT and Saturday at 19:00GMT.

Also for open wheeler fans, the new update will not disappoint. More modern racing machinery is coming to iRacing in the form of the new IR-18 Indycar. Even better so, iRacing confirmed that the members who have already purchased the existing DW12 Indy car in the last six months will receive a full credit of $11.95 and that all iRacing members will receive the existing DW12 Indycar as free content.

And it does not stop there. The March 6 build will bring no less than three new Dirt Tracks. First up is Quarter-Mile Limaland Motorsports Park track which also includes a night version. Then there is the new Charlotte 4/10 mile Dirt Track located across the street from the Charlotte Motor Speedway and will also include a night version. For the rallycross fans, iRacing will be adding the new Sonoma Red Bull Global Rallycross track, as showcased in the included video.

Last but certainly not least the new build will feature a rescanned and revised version of Pocono Raceway. Once more,  all the owners of the existing Pocono track, you receive the track for free while every member will receive the old Pocono track as free content.

iRacing was also planning to add a brand new road course, but sadly enough the track did not make it in time for a March release.
