The PlayStation blog, reported that Kazunori Yamauchi present at the Brazil Game Show Press Conference announced a long-term partnership with the Gran Turismo series.

Vision Gran Turismo is a project in which the world's automotive manufacturers, and other global brands develop and announce concept cars for Gran Turismo. This is a present for Gran Turismo to its fans commemorating the 15th anniversary of the series.

During the Gamescom 2013 press conference, Polyphony Digital and Sony announced that Gran Turismo 6 will be released worldwide on December 6, 2013. Gran Turismo 6 will be run on the Playstation 3 and will be featuring 1200 cars at time of release, and many will be added for purchase in game in a later stage.
