Celebrating the launch of the official F1 movie, Australian, Melbourne-based simulator company Trak Racer has introduced a limited edition sim racing cockpit which is now up for pre-order via the official Trak Racer Website.
The Racing TRX Limited Golden edition sim racing chassis, including a Seat, is designed in collaboration with Alpine F1 Team engineers. Only 100 units will be made available.
Users are able to seamlessly switch between Formula (reclined, feet-up) and GT (more upright, feet-down) driving positions by easily adjusting the height and angle of the pedal tray, wheel mount, and seat.
This “tool-free” adjustment can be done in minutes, making it highly versatile for various racing disciplines and personal preferences. The included fiberglass (FRP) seat is designed to accommodate both positions comfortably and rigidly.
The Trak Racer TRX 2-inch steel tubular chassis is exceptionally rigid, designed to handle the immense force feedback generated by powerful direct drive wheelbases (up to 30Nm of torque) and heavy braking from high-end pedal sets (up to 180kg of braking force) without any flex or wobble.
The Flex-Free Pedal Plate Assembly has been engineered for quick adjustment forwards and backwards, by use of a sliding mechanism, and includes height and angle adjustment. The clever tool-free pedal system allows the user a quick adjustment between raised Formula pedals, low and angled for GT, alongside inverted pedal mounting. The pedal unit features pre-drilled mounting points allowing for a large range of new pedal sets on the market, and the slide function on the TRX remains.
The Trak Racer Formula/GT Hybrid Sim Racing Seat, also co-developed with F1 engineers, features an aggressive recline for a true single-seater feel in Formula mode and an upright stance for GT racing, adapting seamlessly to your preferred driving style.
The high-quality fiberglass (FRP) shell provides exceptional rigidity, tested against the most powerful force feedback motors and high-torque pedals without flex. The Trak Racer TRX seat assembly provides tool-free seat changes in under 10 seconds. Developed with feedback from ergonomic specialists to place the driver in the best possible position. Furthermore, the assembly includes space beneath the seat to mount a Haptic Bass Shaker.
The TRX is available with 3 different wheel mounting options to suit a majority of steering wheel bases on the market, including direct drive systems from Trak Racer, Simucube, Fanatec, VRS, and more, as well as belt-driven wheel bases from Logitech and Thrustmaster. The tool-free wheel deck has slide, height, and angle adjustment, and can swiftly move between Formula and GT Driving positions.
