Assetto Corsa – Update speculations.

The Assetto Corsa Simulator Early Beta Access version was released over a week ago now, and Kunos Simulazioni announced they will release the first contend update.
As promised the update is set to be released on November 22. We all know that the AC staff are masters in subtle hints and veiled suggestions, which lead us to believe the following…

In the past they mainly used Facebook and Twitter to tickle our curiosity by posting sneak peaks and the likes. The past few days the black carbon VLN monster has popped up in a few posts, so one of the three cars that will be in the first update pack might well contain the Jim Glickenhaus’ Ferrari P4/5 Competizione.  Note that this is pure speculation but nevertheless interesting if it was to be proven right. Then again, we could be wrong.

That said, here at Bsim we are ever so glad that the Sim & Modding community seemed to have come alive again. The last few years that same scene seemed to have fallen into a state of hibernation, and the Assetto Corsa buzz has woken everybody up. Many friends and fellow Simracing fans report they once more have the so called Xmas feeling that was there in the glory years of rFactor and GTR2. And here at Bsim we have to agree…  It feels great to see the community come alive once more.

Almost a week after the Assetto Corsa Early Access version was released, the fan base has grown massively. The Sim scene is literally flooded with videos of the newest Kunos Simulazioni creation.
Kunos Simulazioni stated that the first of the updates to appear every two weeks will be released on November 22, and will contain three new cars and two new tracks.

Assetto Corsa is being designed to provide a very realistic driving experience, with single player and multiplayer options, officially licensed cars and tracks developed using Laser scan technology, and the highest level of accuracy possible in reproducing real world motor racing environments. Also, Assetto Corsa will allow for considerable customisation and modification, in order to satisfy the expectations of professional sim racers, gamers who prefer to approach the driving experience more progressively, and hobbyists who just like to collect lots of cars and tracks.
