FormulaVR – Introducing the HelmetVR

Back in March, Richard Fox and Lennart Vissers announced their FormulaVR lineup of racing simulators. Now they announced their latest product.  The HelmetVR.

This unique Virtual Reality hardware product is suitable for both professional race driver training, and home sim racing enthusiasts. The HelmetVR helps you immerse yourself when racing in a virtual environment. Since most motorsports require a helmet, it also adds to the realism.

The HelmetVR integrates an Oculus Rift VR system into your line of view making use of a high-quality Arai GP series racing helmet. The added benefit of the helmet mounted VR display is that the weight and pressure of the unit are evenly distributed around the user’s head,  rather than generating a high-pressure point on the forehead.

To ensure the best quality possible, FormulaVR builds each HelmetVR to order in a limited series.
