The Italian Sabelt brand founded in 1972, is a well-known manufacturer of original equipment (OEM) car seats, seat belts, motorsport products, and seatbelts for military, aviation, and aerospace applications. Sabelt can be called one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of safety equipment for motorsport and the automotive industry.

The company’s products are used by some of the most prestigious teams and drivers in the world, including Ferrari, McLaren, Alpine, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Cupra, Audi, Jaguar, Maserati, and Aston Martin.

Last year, Sabelt entered the world of sim racing, with the aim of transferring the same values that have made the brand successful in the world of real motorsport to that of driving simulators. So far they have introduced a selection of cockpits, seats, and accessories, including wheel rims, seatbelts, gloves, apparel, and more.

With many community members out there building their own sim racing chassis, there is a demand for suitable racing seats. While there is an abundance of affordable GT-style seats on the market, the Formula-style seats are thinner spread.

That’s why we take a look at the Sabelt SRP-1 Racing Red Seat which is an ergonomic sim racing seat with a unique design inspired by a formula car Driving position. The quality seat is made out of a reinforced fiberglass shell and padded with pads to increase comfort.
