Asetek Officially Presents The Invicta Quick Release Adapter Kit

Asetek Officially Presents The Invicta Quick Release Adapter Kit

In January 2021, Asetek acquired a significant amount of Intellectual Property Rights from Granite Devices, who make the Simucube wheelbases. In this IP acquisition, the right to use, further develop, and enhance the Simucube quick release was included. This license to further modify the Simucube design resulted in a very user-friendly and fast way to connect the wheel and its electronics to the wheelbase.

In September 2022, the Danish Asetek Sim Sports company first teased its own purpose-built quick-release design based on the Simucube system.

Now Asetek CEO, Andre Eriksen officially presented the final version of the sim racing Invicta Quick Release.

Asetek also partnered up with several of the better-known sim racing wheel manufacturers, such as Ascher Racing, GSI – Gomez Sim Industries, Cube Controls, Rexing, Bavarian SimTec, SimCore, Trak Racer, Delta Sim Tech, Simline, Soelpec, and VPG Sim.

This means that besides the in-house Asetek Wheel rims, also third-party wheels will be able to ship with an Invicta Quick Release mounted directly from the partner factory.

If all goes as planned, the Invicta Quick Release will become available in the last week of June costing €149.99 / US$ 149.99 incl. Tax + shipping. You will be able to purchase the Invicta Quick Release as a separate item from the Asetek webshop or from one of the resellers.

    Specifications:

    • Three lengths included: 80 mm, 150 mm, and 200 mm (total Quick Release lengths)
    • Sturdy, no-play Quick Release with a guaranteed no disengages up to 500N of pull-force on a 320mm wheel*
    • Optional USB support
    • High-quality aluminum parts

    • Designed and manufactured in Denmark

*The Invicta Quick Release Adapter Kit has a built-in safety release at 500N with a 320mm steering wheel, meaning there is no chance of accidentally disconnecting the wheel. It also provides safety release if something should go wrong.
