Assetto Corsa – Nissan Sileighty Released

Drift fans will be delighted with the release of Dori’s Nissan Sileighty mod for the Assetto Corsa Simulator.

The mod features 4 tuned models. One for track/road use and three for road/drift usage. The Drift versions of the car feature 2 stages of the SR20DET and one 1.5JZ from a Toyota. Furthermore, the mod also contains an S2 version which has upgraded brakes, suspension, and a larger turbo. Dori created the Physics as accurate as possible by using measurements taken from his real car where ever possible.

A Sileighty is a Nissan 180SX with a Nissan Silvia’s headlights, front fenders, hood, and front bumper installed, hence the ‘Sil’ in front and the ‘eighty’ rear. The Sileighty (also written as Sil80) originated through early street racers in Japan who owned Nissan 180SXs with damaged front ends.

Because the Silvia’s front panels and lights were lighter and cheaper than the 180SX replacement parts, many drifters used these parts instead. Originally the Sileighty was powered by a SR20DET engine that delivered 227 hp at 6200 rpm.
