Assetto Corsa Porsche 962C preview renders

Patrik Sander published three new renders of his Porsche 962C project for Assetto Corsa. When released it will become a beautiful adversary for the already released Mazda 787B Group C  car that was also created by Patrik.

Originally build as the IMSA/GTP version of the Porsche 956, the newer Porsche 962 would grow out to become the main attraction of the Porsche sports car program.  For the 1985 World Endurance Championship, the works team introduced a new version, the 962C. The car was very similar to the IMSA 962 version but featured a twin Turbo-charged engine as found in the Porsche 956.  Derek Bell, Jacky Ickx and Hans Stuck dominated the 1985 championship driving the 962C.

The Porsche 962C was powered by a Mid, longitudinally mounted 2.994 liter engine equipped with two KKK Turbos. The Group C monster delivered an impressive 780 bhp that gave it a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).
