Assetto Corsa Shelby GT500 Supersnake V1.0

Over the last couple of weeks OpAnaconda has been working hard to get his Shelby GT500 Supersnake model ready for Assetto Corsa. The mod comes with accurate physics and a choice of 9 liveries.

In his own words, the model is fully compliant with Assetto Corsa but there is room for improvements. OpAnaconda is planning to add a few more features such as Turbo whine, Exhaust flames and some more shader refinements. OpAnaconda also hinted that next to the Shelby GT500 Supersnake he is also working on a Mustang Boss 302. If all goes well, the Mustang will be released in about two months.


Known issues:

  • The driver hands are not correctly aligned to the steering:
    if someone’s skilled with the drive base file do not hesitate to submit your suggestions/mods (I’m working with Blender and the “driver_base_pos” FBX editable file provided by Assetto Corsa doesn’t seem to open and compute properly to make the required changes. Max might be more indicated for that kind of modification).
  • Wipers not working:
    Not mandatory but would be a nice to have.
  • No Flames for the exhaust pipes:
  • Door won’t open:
    The 3D modelling doesn’t allow for the doors to open in Showroom mode. That would have required several more days to fashion.
