Assetto Corsa – When The Modding Scene Makes It Look Real

Assetto Corsa - When The Modding Scene Makes It Look Real

I know that this is not exactly news. Nevertheless, I thought it would be interesting to share.

When in 2018 Kunos SImulazioni stopped the development of the original Assetto Corsa title, many modders out there took on the challenge of keeping the title alive with some impressive modding work. Community modifications such as the famed SOL and rainFX mods transformed the racing game and showed us a glimpse of what would have been possible should Kunos SImulazioni have decided to further develop Stefano Casillo’s in-house game engine.

In his latest video, YouTuber Himura Gaming takes the Assetto Corsa Mercedes W12 F1 Car Mod for a spin at the Roads Of Alto Tajo Map mod project, while using the Supercars Traffic Mod.

I swear that the first few seconds I watched this video, it was not clear that this was a game or real footage. That’s how hard the modding community has worked.

Kudos!
