Forza Motorsport – Art Directing – Balancing Visuals with Performance

The Game Developers Conference (GDC) brings the game development community together to exchange ideas, solve problems, and shape the future of the industry across five days of education, inspiration, and networking. Attendees include programmers, artists, producers, game designers, audio professionals, and business leaders.

In a very interesting Virtual Game Developers Conference talk, Matt Collins who is the Forza Motosport CG Supervisor at Turn 10 Studios discusses the process of creating art assets for a game that runs at 60FPS.


It has been hinted that Forza Motorsport 8, or whatever the name or game might be, will be accompanying Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox Series X console at release. Turn 10 Studios has not yet revealed any release schedule, but assuming the game might release as a launch title for the Xbox Series X, the holiday season of 2020 might be a good guess.
