Our favourite Sim Racing YouTuber, GamerMuscle, had the opportunity to visit iZone Driver Performance and takes us on a tour of the facility, giving us an insight into the racing simulator software, hardware, and the services on offer.
iZone Driver Performance is an elite motorsport driver training and development centre based at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, UK. Co-founded with triple World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx and Performance Director John Pratt, the facility serves racers ranging from karting novices to professional single-seater, GT, touring car, and Formula 1 drivers.
Rather than acting as a standard track school, iZone operates as a high-performance laboratory that develops drivers across three core pillars: technical racing skill, sports science/physical conditioning, and mental/psychological performance. The venue features high-end motion and static race simulators equipped with telemetry analysis, bespoke proprietary software, and custom training circuits designed to isolate specific driving mechanics (e.g., brake modulation, steering precision, rotation, and line judgement).
