Race Control

– The pace car driver has improved its ability to wait for and to pick up Caution leaders.
– – The pace car now is able to detect when the real race leader comes out of the pits and will pick them up as they leave (or moments after they leave) the pits, instead of only paying attention to the cars on track that are still racing back to the line. This adjustment also fixed an issue with pace field placement so that a pit-exiting leader is now always inserted into the pace line behind the pace car regardless of whether the pace car is parked and waiting just inside the end of the pit lane or just past the end of the pit lane.

– Fixed an issue where drivers could be unable to move when starting from the pits, particularly on tracks with a lengthy part of the pit lane ahead of the Start/Finish line.

– Fixed an issue where Race Control was incorrectly releasing missed-start cars behind a faster class pack of cars instead of a slower class pack of cars.

Dynamic Track

– Fixed an issue where many off-track surface temperatures were being calculated as much cooler than they really were. Remember, staying on the track is often the best way to be cool.

Heat Racing

– Fixed an issue where the starting grids would not be properly finalized if the session was configured to advance the entire field from a Qualify to the Feature.

Test Session

– The garage weight penalty adjustment increment has been adjusted from 5kg to 1kg.

Qualifying Conduct Scrutiny

– Race officials are now more strict towards participants driving in the wrong direction, and participants not maintaining optimal pit speeds.

New Damage Model

– Fixed an issue where the force being applied to wheels in collisions was not limited correctly, making the wheel take damage and break far too easily.

– We continue to work on re-balancing the damage states of all vehicles currently utilizing the New Damage Model and those which we turned off recently. We are making progress, and you can expect the New Damage Model to be re-enabled on the following vehicles soon:
– – ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala
– – NASCAR Chevrolet Monte Carlo – 1987
– – NASCAR Ford Thunderbird – 1987
– – Street Stock

Visual Effects

– Adjusted night lighting on smoke and dust puffs slightly.

Animation

– Fixed an issue with a rather uncomfortable neck condition suffered by some driver body types while using some open-wheel cars. iRacing has footed the bill for these extraordinary chiropractors. Drivers of the following vehicles were effected:
– – Dallara F3
– – Dallara iR-01
– – Dallara IR18
– – [Legacy] Dallara DW12
– – [Legacy] Indycar Dallara – 2009

Telemetry

– A new telemetry Session string value, CarClassEstLapTime:, has been added for broadcasters.
– – This string indicates the estimated lap time for every car in the Session. This value matches the existing telemetry Session string value, DriverCarEstLapTime:, used by a player car.

– Fixed an issue with the broadcaster telemetry value, CarIdxP2P_Status, not correctly reporting all 64 entries.

Cars:

BMW M8 GTE

– Fixed an issue where the IMSA number boards night lighting was not appearing correctly.

Chevrolet Corvette C6.R GT1

– For the New Damage Model, the following adjustments have been made:
– – Rear trunk mount positions have been adjusted, and should now receive damage properly.
– – Rear fenders should now receive symmetric damage.

Dallara IR18

– For the New Damage Model, some significant and specialized improvements have been made for processing wheel damage on this vehicle. Lateral wheel break limits and suspension yield limits have also been adjusted.

NASCAR Gander Outdoors Chevrolet Silverado
