Because iRacing is an American product, it should not come as a surprise that the online racing service contains a majority of American racing tracks. And let’s be honest, the rest of the world does not feature many oval and dirt tracks with the same appeal. Nevertheless, the racing title also features a good number of international content.

About a year ago, iRacing announced that it would significantly expand its European road circuit offerings with four premier international circuits to make their way into production in 2021. The Hockenheimring, Hungaroring, Red Bull Ring, and Knockhill Racing Circuit had all been fully scanned and licensed.

Now iRacing posted the first few in-game screenshots showcasing the Knockhill Racing Circuit. This might indicate that the popular Scottish racing venue could be coming to the service sooner than we think.

The Knockhill Racing Circuit is a permanent racing venue in Fife, Scotland. It opened in September 1974 and is Scotland’s national motorsport center. The circuit is located in the countryside about 10 km north of Dunfermline.

Knockhill is Scotland’s only accredited FIA and MSA-approved venue. It became known in 1992 when the prestigious British Touring Car Championship visited for the first time, with the British Superbikes soon following. Both categories have remained as mainstays of a busy schedule which also includes corporate events, test, and track days.
