iRacing has just deployed the 2021 Season 1 build for the online racing service. This new update was one of the biggest yet, and contained a healthy number of new content and features.

While most of the new content was introduced via a number of Tweets, articles, and videos, there is one item that seems to be invisible when it comes to content promotion. The new update introduced the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO as a new contender in the iRacing GT3 class. However, as far as iRacing is concerned, the car might just as well not exist. No videos, no tweets, no FaceBook messages, no promotion, or the introduction of any sort. If you would not perform a dedicated search for the car, you might just not realize its there.

So here we go. Lets introduce the iRacing Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO.

The Huracán GT3 EVO was entirely developed at Sant’Agata Bolognese by Squadra Corse. The design work took more than a year and there was a big focus on aerodynamics, which were conceived in conjunction with Dallara. Ground-breaking solutions have substantially increased the aerodynamic load, thus further improving stability and reducing pitch sensitivity compared to the first generation.

The front features significant modifications to the splitter, which has a prominent leading-edge, and the hood. The latter is made of carbon fiber and it enhances the cooling capacity of the radiator thanks to the large central rib borrowed from the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo. The bumper has brand new lateral recesses that house two large flicks, giving exceptional downforce. The rear is dominated by the large carbon fiber wing, whose modeled ends with two twists optimize aerodynamic efficiency, aided by the diffuser with redesigned fins.

The mechanical development process led to changes in the kinematics of the front suspension. Instead of steel, the supporting arms are now made of billet aluminum, which improves the rolling phase and the connection between the two axles. The rear axle also received important updates: new hubs, bearings and axle shafts, with the use of tripod joints for greater transmission efficiency and easy maintenance.
