Project CARS 2 – Circuit of The Americas Previews

Slightly Mad Studios officially introduced the Circuit of the Americas as part of their tracklist for the upcoming Project CARS 2 title.

You can check out some impressive in-game preview screenshots of the Circuit and read an interesting article on the official Project CARS website.

The Circuit of the Americas often abbreviated as COTA is a grade-1 FIA compliant 3.427-mile (5.515 km) 20 turn racing circuit near Austin, Texas U.S.A. The venue hosted the Formula One United States Grand Prix, the Texas Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP), the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC, the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and many more.

The circuit and Grand Prix were first proposed in the middle of 2010. The circuit was the first in the United States to be purpose-built for Formula One. The layout was conceived by promoter Tavo Hellmund and 1993 Motorcycle World Champion Kevin Schwantz with the assistance of German architect and circuit designer Hermann Tilke, who has also designed the Sepang, Shanghai, Yas Marina, Istanbul, Bahrain, Yeongam, and Buddh circuits, as well as the reprofiling of the Hockenheimring and Fuji Speedway. The Grand Plaza, Observation Structure, Tower Amphitheater, and Main Grandstand were designed by Austin-based architectural firm Miró Rivera Architects.

Project CARS 2 the ‘ultimate driver journey’ will become available late 2017 for the PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Steam OS. On the consoles, PCars 2 will go head to head with upcoming heavyweights such as Forza Motorsport 7 and Gran Turismo Sport.

In addition to the standard version, Slightly Mad Studios also gives you the option of pre-ordering three different premium versions through retail stores, being the Limited Edition, Collector’s Edition, and Ultra Edition. All the Premium editions include exclusive content and come in a premium-packaged Steelbook case. While it is not yet officially confirmed, it has been rumored that these limited editions will only be available in Europe.
