Project CARS 2 – Rallycross Is Coming

The Project CARS 2 promo train is steaming ahead at full speed. Today, Slightly Mad Studios announced that Rallycross will become an integral part of the upcoming Project CARS 2 racing title.

The announcement was accompanied by a selection of in-game screenshots and an official Project CARS 2 Rallycross introduction trailer. Furthermore, YouTuber Yorkie065, shared a small video showing us some hands-on RX gameplay.

To make sure the Rallycross feature in Pcars 2 is up to standard and is recreated as authentic as possible, Slightly Mad Studios partnered with Swedish former rally champion Andréas Eriksson’s Olsbergs MSE Team who are also the official supplier of the Supercar Lites rallycross cars. During the development, Olsbergs MSE’s Rallycross drivers Mitchell deJong and Oliver Eriksson took the role of official consultants.

In Project CARS 2 you will have the chance to drive some of the most exciting Rallycross cars out there, such as the Olsbergs MSE Supercar Lite Ford Fiesta, Honda Civic Coupé, Volkswagen Polo RX, Mini Countryman RX, Ford Focus RS RX and the classic Ford Escort RS 1600.

Slightly Mad Studios made sure that you will be able to race these cars in their natural habitat. They have licensed a quality selection of international rallycross venues including the American DirtFish, and Daytona tracks, the German Hockenheim RX track, the Norwegian  ‘Hell’ at Lånkebanen circuit, the French Loheac-Bretagna track, and the world famous Brittish Knockhill and Lydden Hill rallycross venues.

Combining the ice, mud, dirt, snow, and asphalt surfaces with the dynamic Project CARS 2 LiveTrack 3.0 technology, Slightly Mad Studios might just succeed to deliver the most authentic RX recreation to date.

Project CARS 2 the ‘ultimate driver journey’ will become available late 2017 for the PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Steam OS. On the consoles, PCars 2 will go head to head with upcoming heavyweights such as Forza Motorsport 7 and Gran Turismo Sport.
