Project CARS Goes Mobile

It seems that the next iteration of the popular Project CARS racing title will not be a high-end racing simulation, but a mobile game.

In a surprise announcement, Slightly Mad Studios confirmed that the next product in the Project Cars franchise will be a spinoff game for the mobile market. Named “Project CARS Go”, the smartphone racer will be a joint venture between SMS and South Korean publisher Gamevil.

Slightly Mad Studio CEO Ian Bell, hinted that the game will include licensed cars and will feature vehicle customization options. At this time, SMS did not yet share further game details or a release date, neither did they reveal if Project CARS GO is going to be a paid product, or free-to-play.

Alongside Gamevil, Project CARS GO will put players in the driver’s seat to experience the adrenaline pumping racing game in a whole new way,” said Slightly Mad Studios CEO Ian Bell.

The racing genre has a large, dedicated fan base, who are going to be stomping the gas pedal and burning rubber very soon.
