Project CARS – Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Classic Indycar Content Confirmed
With the 2017 Indy 500 event closing in, Slightly Mad Studios has revealed some new Indycar related content that will be part of the upcoming Project CARS 2 racing title.
Besides the modern Dallara DW12 Indycar, Project Cars 2 will also feature three classic Indycar models which you will be able to drive on the historic version of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Get ready for the front-engined 1963 Indy 500 winner known as Ol’ Calhoun, Jim Clark’s Lotus 38 which won the ’65 Indy 500, and the 1968 Chapman-Granatelli STP Pratt & Whitney twin-turbine Lotus 56.
As usual, Slightly Mad Studios published a nice write-up about the history of these iconic racing cars. Head over to the official Project CARS website and check out the full article that accompanies the included screenshots.
Project CARS 2 the ‘ultimate driver journey’ will become available late 2017 for the PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Steam OS. On the consoles, PCars 2 will go head to head with upcoming heavyweights such as Forza Motorsport 7 and Gran Turismo Sport.
In addition to the standard version, Slightly Mad Studios also gives you the option of pre-ordering three different premium versions through retail stores, being the Limited Edition, Collector’s Edition, and Ultra Edition. All the Premium editions include exclusive content and come in a premium-packaged Steelbook case. While it is not yet officially confirmed, it has been rumored that these limited editions will only be available in Europe.
