AdrianF1esp has a look at the First Export of the new RUF CTR3 ‘2012 that is added to build 668 of Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios. In this video the car is tested on the American Sonoma Raceway that was formerly known as Sears Point Raceway and later on Infineon Raceway.
While the previous RUF CTR3’s were rear-engined cars, the 2012 CTR3 version is a mid-engine design. Powered by a 3,746 cm (3.8-liter) flat-six cylinder twin-turbocharged engine the Cayman based model develops 552 kW (750 bhp) at 7,100 rpm. The 6-speed sequential gearbox accelerates the supercar from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in as little as 3.2 seconds and on to 125 mph (200 km/h) in 9.6 seconds. Top speed is roughly 236 mph or 380 km/h.
As many developers out there, Slightly Mad Studios licenced the RUF car models as a substitute for the original Porsche models they are based on. The Official Porsche licence is supposedly exclusively licensed to Electronic Arts. Project CARS will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Steam OS & WiiU starting 2014.
