Straight4 announced that the popular GT4 racing class will be part of the Project Motor Racing simulation.

GT4 is a popular and accessible racing category designed for production-based sports cars with limited modifications, aiming to provide exciting and relatively cost-effective competition for both amateur and aspiring professional drivers.

It was established in 2006 by the SRO Motorsports Group (Stéphane Ratel Organisation) as a more affordable alternative to GT3 racing.

GT4 cars are derived from road-legal sports cars, meaning they share many fundamental components like the chassis, engine, and basic body shape with their street counterparts. This makes them more relatable to car enthusiasts and helps control development costs.

While modifications are allowed for racing, they are tightly controlled to prevent extreme performance gains and keep costs in check.

To ensure fair competition between different car manufacturers and models, the SRO employs a Balance of Performance (BoP) system. This involves adjusting various parameters such as engine power (via restrictors or boost pressure), weight (through ballast), and ride height to equalize lap times across the diverse field of GT4 cars.

Project Motor Racing will be released on November 25th, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The title is available for pre-order via Steam and the Epic Games Store for €59.99 / $59.99 / £49.99.

Console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can be pre-ordered via their respective digital storefronts (PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store) and various retailers.

Pre-ordering comes with a bonus in the form of the “PMR – GTE Decade Pack” DLC.

The Pre-Purchase Project Motor Racing Year 1 Bundle is available for €89,99. It includes the Day 1 Group 5 Revival Pack, an additional 3 Content Packs, plus the Year 1 Expansion Pack.
