Straight4 continues its presentation of cars coming to the Project Motor Racing simulation project. This time, one of my old-time favourites. The Marcos Mantara LM600.

The Marcos Mantara LM600 will join a selection of classic GT cars such as the Mosler MT900R, the Lister Storm, Gillet Vertigo, Saleen S7-R, Morgan Aero 8, TVR Tuscan T400R, and the Audi R8 LMP900.

As usual, keep in mind that all media included represents a work in progress.

Marcos Mantara LM600

The Marcos Mantara LM600 is a GT car developed by British manufacturer Marcos Engineering in the mid-1990s and made its competitive debut in 1995.

It was designed to compete in various GT racing series, including the BPR Global GT Series, FIA GT Championship, and British GT Championship. The car also participated in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The LM600 was powered by a selection of naturally aspirated 6.0 to 6.9-liter V8 engines, often a small-block LT1 or LS6 that could deliver over 600 horsepower and around 610 Nm of torque. All that power was transferred to the rear wheels via a 5-speed or 6-speed manual/sequential gearbox.

In 1999, with Marcos’s racing division acquired by a Dutch consortium led by driver Cor Euser and Eurotech Engineering, the LM600 was significantly upgraded into the Mantara LM600 EVO.

About Straigh4:

At the end of 2022, Ian Bell (SimBin, Blimey Games, and Slightly Mad Studios) announced that he had founded a new studio branding named Straight4Games or just plain Straight4.

At this point, Straight4 had revealed they were working on a new racing simulation with the project name GTR Revival, later renamed to GTRevival and now Project Motor Racing, which should become available for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

Project Motor Racing is scheduled to become available in 2025. You can check out some more GTRevival / Project Motor Racing news here.
