Martinsville Speedway track added.

Opened in 1947, Martinsville Speedway is one of the few remaining short track venues used by NASCAR. In fact its 0.526-mile oval, complete with asphalt straights and distinctive low-banked, concrete-and-blacktop corners, is the shortest circuit used in modern Sprint Cup Series racing.

Situated just south of the town of Martinsville, Virginia, it has a relatively modest spectator capacity compared to other NASCAR venues but what it lacks in numbers, it makes up in decibels thanks to electric atmospheres created by the non-stop action on its tight, paperclip-shaped track. The only circuit to have hosted NASCAR events from the sport’s inception right through to the present day, Martinsville Speedway currently holds two Sprint Cup Series and two Camping World Truck Series races each year.
