Assetto Corsa Competizione – DLC Trailer – The Land of the Free

Assetto Corsa Competizione DLC Teaser

Kunos Simulazioni has published a short, yet interesting trailer announcing the upcoming “The Land of the Free” DLC for the PC version of Assetto Corsa Competizione.

The new DLC release is scheduled for June 30, and as the DLC title phrase indicates, the pack will include a number of American circuits as featured in the World Challenge America series.

The trailer already reveals some popular venues such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Watkins Glen, and the Circuit of the Americas. So far there is no indication that the DLC will include any new vehicles.

The real-world Indianapolis Motor Speedway is located in Indiana in the United States. This 2.5 miles long track is one of the most famous American racing venues with a huge motorsport legacy. It is regarded as the home of the IndyCar Series, NASCAR Cup Series, and many more. Besides the famous oval layout, the venue also features a FIA Grade One infield road course.

Watkins Glen International is an American motor road course located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. The track commonly nicknamed “The Glen” has been entertaining racing fans since 1948. NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula One, Can-Am, and every major sports car series have all raced at the Glen over the years.

The venue hosted the FIA Formula One World Championship for twenty seasons, from 1961 until 1980. Watkins Glen would also be the last purpose-built race circuit to host the United States Grand Prix until the completion of the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Nowadays, “The Glen” hosts the NASCAR and many top professional and amateur sports car races as well as a major vintage race meet.

The Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is a Grade 1 FIA-specification 5.514-kilometer (3.426 mi) motor racing track and facilities located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Austin, Texas in the United States. The facility hosted the Formula One United States Grand Prix, NASCAR’s Texas Grand Prix, the Grand Prix of the Americas, and a round in the 2021 World Challenge America series, to name a few.

At the time of writing, no console release details have been shared, but it is likely that the Console DLC pack will become available somewhere in late 2022 following the September Version 1.8 update.
