Assetto Corsa Competizione – Even More Raceway Laguna Seca Previews

With the 2020 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour race coming up this weekend, we did expect to see more previews of the Australian Bathurst-Mount Panorama circuit for Assetto Corsa Competizione. However, Kunos Simulazioni decided to please us with a few more in-game screenshots of the North American WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca circuit.

The upcoming Intercontinental GT Challenge pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione will feature new and famous tracks such as Suzuka, Mount Panorama, Laguna Seca and Kyalami.

At the time of writing, no release schedule or pricing for the ACC Intercontinental GT Challenge pack is known. We will keep you posted when more news becomes available.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is currently available on Steam for €39,99.

The WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca circuit is a paved road racing track used for both auto racing and motorcycle racing, originally constructed in 1957 near both Salinas and Monterey, California, USA.

The current racetrack is 2.238 miles (3.602 km) in length with a 180 feet (55 m) elevation change. It has eleven turns, including the famous “Corkscrew” at Turns 8 and 8A. A variety of racing, exhibition, and entertainment events are held at the raceway, ranging from superkarts to IMSA racing to music festivals.

The name Laguna Seca is Spanish for “dry lake”. The area where the track is was originally a lake. The course was originally built around the lake, which has since dried up entirely. An artificial pond has since been added. Major events each year include the Monterey Sports Car Championships (WeatherTech SportsCar Championship), and the Monterey Historics for classic racecars.
