Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games have started to introduce the cars that will become available with the Version 0.7 update for Assetto Corsa Evo. The first reveal showcases the 2018 track-only Porsche 935/19.
2018 Porsche 935 Tribute Car:
Unveiled in the autumn of 2018 at the Rennsport Reunion VI in Laguna Seca, the modern 935/19 is a homage to Porsche’s legendary 1978 “Moby Dick” Porsche 935/78 Group 5 race car. The newest 935 is a limited-production track-only vehicle that blends heritage with cutting-edge technology. With its sharp aerodynamic profile, powerful engine, and focus on pure driving enjoyment, the modern 935 is a truly modern interpretation of a motorsport icon.
Only 77 examples of the modern 935 were produced, making it one of the most exclusive Porsches ever made. Each car was priced at a staggering $817,000, which reflects its rarity and its performance capabilities.
Heavily based on the road-legal 911 GT2 RS (991.2), the 2018 Porsche 935 is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged aluminum flat-six that can deliver 700 hp @ 7,000 rpm, and 550 lb-ft (750 Nm) torque. That power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 7-speed rigid-mounted PDK (dual-clutch)a 7-speed PDK transmission, and a race-optimized limited-slip differential.
