There is currently no official confirmed release date for the Assetto Corsa Evo v0.5 update. However, based on the development roadmap and the release timing of previous updates, the community expects it to arrive in Early 2026. For now, enjoy some eyecandy showcasing the car in-game.
Toyota Corolla AE86:
The Toyota Corolla AE86 is one of the most renowned sports vehicles in automotive history. This lightweight, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version of the fifth-generation Toyota Corolla (E80 series) was manufactured from 1983 to 1987.
While the majority of the Corolla lineup moved to the more practical Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) system, Toyota engineers maintained the sporty coupe and liftback versions on a rear-wheel-drive basis. This choice unintentionally gave rise to a tale that came to represent drift culture in Japan, and later on the entire world.
In Japan, the car is affectionately known as the Hachi-Roku, which literally translates to “Eight-Six.” The Initial D manga and anime series turned the AE86 into a global pop-culture icon.
The AE86 is powered by the legendary 1.6 Liter 4A-GE engine, which was one of the first mass-produced engines to feature a DOHC (Double Overhead Cam) 16-valve setup with electronic fuel injection.
The Japanese and European market engines delivered 128 hp (130 PS) at 6,600 rpm, while the American version put out 112 hp at 6,600 rpm as it was detuned for emissions reasons.
