Automobilista 2 – Update V1.6.9.8 Deployed

Reiza Studios has released Update V1.6.9.8 for Automobilista 2 (AMS2). Alongside a good number of fixes and features, this update introduces some exciting new content, including the Renault R25 and R26 F1 cars, free for all users.

Note: As mentioned in the latest Dev Update, imminent licensing restrictions might result in some official F1 cars getting removed for new purchases of the game in the near future, including these latest Renault cars that have just been added to the game with this update. If you already have AMS2,  the content you own today or come to own at any point from now until such measure is implemented will not be impacted – they will remain part of your Automobilista 2 installation.   

Furthermore, Reiza introduces two new DLC packs. The new Historic Track Pack Pt4, including Barcelona 1999, Barcelona 2001, Imola 2005, Indianapolis 2001, Spielberg 2001, and Monza 2005 (integrated into the packs that already include it).

The Historical Track Pack Pt4 is available on Steam for €7,99.

The second DLC features the Hungaroring. The new DLCs will be free for all users to enjoy during the first few days after release. 

Host of the Hungarian Grand Prix since 1986, the Hungaroring is nestled in the hills just outside Budapest featuring a twisty and flowing 4.3km layout that has remained largely unchanged over the decades – the notable exception being the 2003 reform which extended the front straight and made T1 into a sharper hairpin, creating a great overtaking opportunity that the track had sorely missed up to that point and setting the stage for some of the best races from the last 20 years.

The Hungaroring has only grown in motorsports relevance since becoming a staple in the F1 calendar, hosting races for several other top level series; its blend of history, character and technical suitability for various classes makes it a perfect fit for AMS2, so we are very happy to finally be bringing it in full laser-scanned glory to AMS2, along with what might just be the best possible cars to enjoy this track with.
