New Staff Member: The Sporting Director

New for 2023 is the Sporting Director, a key staff member responsible for trackside operations and bringing you the ability to manage and improve your team’s pit crew. Your Sporting Director comes with their own set of performance ratings that will drive growth within your team. A strong Aptitude rating is crucial for increasing the overall potential of your mechanics, while Leadership will inspire fewer pit-stop mistakes. Instruct your Sporting Director to focus on developing themselves in the areas that you think are the most important for success.

You can also direct pit-crew training, choosing between multiple, monthly regimes or creating custom plans from the ground up. for a balanced approach or focus on specific areas you want your crew to improve on. For example: “Pit Stop Errors” will put focus on improving consistency, while “Fatigue Reduction” will increase rest days and lower the chances of a fatigue-related mistake. You’ll also manage specific, pit-stop drill focuses. Whether it’s releasing the car, or loosening and replacing tyres, each pit-stop drill will lower or increase the chances of error, depending on how well you balance your training regime.

Get it right and you’ll be snatching positions mid-race and scoring points towards the Fastest Pit-Stop competition.
